La Douleur de Beauté
"We are always blind to things deeper than skin." - Joe Chung
Luscious, illuminating, tantalizing lips on a woman had always been a visionary for men around the world since the dawn of time. Today, women are complying to forge a brand a new identity for the purpose of enticing the opposite sex. Lips are enhanced. Noses - surgically effeminized. Breasts - filled with silicone. Skin - lifted. And even fine wrinkle lines are "disappering" through botox. A window to the soul is masked by artificial body parts or perhaps the lack of real parts. Surgery has become like a miracle plant for the diffident who are in hope of one day reaching a state of felicity with their outer 'beauty'. Human forms have morphed into fanciful, delusory figures, thrusted by the ludicrous desire of alluring a man. Plastic surgery may be in vogue transiently, but one's authentic look should be cherished forever.
